Nanologica is developing nanoporous silica particles for drug delivery formulations. As we are advancing to clinical trials, our CTO, Adam Feiler, needs your help.
What we need is you, who can manage the lab, run analytical equipment, develop our products and act as a team leader. You will work closely with our CTO in drug development projects to continuously improve our platform for drug delivery applications. Formulation and chemical modification are key words! https://search4s.teamtailor.com/pages/nanologica-2019Most of the time is spent at the lab. Depending on your background you might also be involved in academic research and external scientific communication. Here is a summary of responsibilities:
Formulation, chemical modification and analysis of nanoporous silica particles for drug delivery.
Planning lab activities, delegate and follow up results
Manage and run analytical equipment including TGA, DSC, BET and HPLC. Troubleshooting, and problem-solving
Keep updated in your area of expertise
This is a key position for Nanologica and one in which you will be exposed to real needs from the pharmaceutical industry trying to develop improved medicines. Good scientific practice, innovation and ability to manage lab activities are required in equal measure.

Terms: Full-time, open-ended (permanent)
StartingDate: As soon as possible or upon agreement
Qualifications
Obviously, you are a scientist! You love applied research and nanomaterials. You are the kind of person who thinks outside the box and can work without strict supervision but still deliver results. You can lead technical and scientific discussions with everyone and likes to contribute to other people's results as well.
You know nanomaterials, formulation & development. Either you have a PhD or several years of experience from working in a commercial research lab (or both)!
Required knowledge and experience:
Academic degree in science or engineering, e.g. physical chemistry, surface chemistry, material science or similar
Good knowledge of inorganic nanomaterials and knowledge of silica
Lab experience with at least one of TGA, DSC or BET
Good knowledge about analytical chemistry
Practical experience from lab-based formulation and applied development
You can learn, but it is great if you already know:
inhalation products
tablet formulation
nanoporous silica particles
people management
pharmaceutical industry
standard lab techniques i.e TGA, DSC, BET and HPLC
