Responsibilities:

PostNord is the leader of logistics and postal services in the Nordics.

As a part of the IT organization, we support a variety of different PostNord stakeholders in a multitude of areas, such as e.g. HR, mail and logistics. We are already delivering business critical forecasting models that are an important piece of the puzzle of optimizing our operations. Our digital transformation journey started a few years back with migrating BI/DW platforms to Azure. We are now using that platform to train our ML models on our data sets to enable data-driven decision making.

Our technology is focused on the Azure stack, and includes Azure MLW, Azure ML, Azure DevOps, Power BI etc.

The Machine Learning team's main responsibility is to develop and operate ML models used by PostNord production units. As an ML Ops engineer, your role is hands-on, focusing on operating and optimizing our ML workloads and model releases.

As an ML Ops Engineer you will lead and direct the teams DevOps practices, including version controlling and managing the teams repos.

You will be responsible for improving our monitoring/alerting systems for our ML workloads.

You'll work closely with a team of data scientists to monitor and improve model accuracy, prevent drift, and improve the cloud infrastructure.



Qualifications:

To fit in the ML Ops Engineer role at PostNord you have been working with software development on an advanced level for several years. It is important that you like to remain hands on, able to take a lead role and enjoy working on complex and challenging solutions.

You have a structured approach to code management and can help the team develop code according to best practices.

As a person you are curious to learn and evolve your skill set in accordance with the state of the art pace in the domain that you work in.

We are looking for you who have:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Communication skills in both written and spoken English
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, CI/CD, DevOps, or ML Ops (preferably in an Azure environment).
- Expert skills in version controlling, source code management and artifact management.
- Experience with ML Ops workflows and DevOps practices, including model versioning, automated model retraining, and monitoring.
- Familiar with AI/ML concepts and algorithms.
- Implemented ML Ops best practices such as model drift detection and model governance.

Meritorious experience: (Nice-to-have)

- Experience working in an agile team
- Deep understanding of core AI and ML concepts, algorithms, and their applications
- Experience with forecasting and knowledge of time series analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Experience in defining data models, schemas, and structures for efficient storage and retrieval of data.
- Azure or AWS Certified.
- Communication skills in both written and spoken Swedish.
- Experience in using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm for building and deploying scalable and reproducible machine learning applications.
- Experienced in Azure DevOps, ADF, metadata-driven pipelines, Azure Data bricks, ARM templates, and Azure Functions.
