hela Sverige You will be part of a front line, customer-facing team assembled to load and when applicable re-format data from legacy systems into the next generation Network Inventory Solutions in Sweden. This work will have a material impact on our customer's delivery to their customers.
Responsibilities:
Migration planning in cooperation with the customer IT operations.
Maintaining documentation, procedures and work instructions for the data load operations.
Assess and validate the Data Load Script(s) as developed by the implementation team
Load data into development, test and production environments
Quality Control of migration data - assessment of files ready for load
Report metrics and statistics of data load
Report on quality, incidents and migration faults
Perform system administration tasks for Data Load test environments
Participation in customer meetings, such as progress reviews, release management meetings and multi-vendor coordination calls
Contribute to overall Ericsson Knowledge in the OSS area
Location and work arrangements:
The location of the position is Greater Stockholm, including Solna and Kista.
Flexibility is required - there can be requirements, planned or at limited notice, to work evenings, nights or weekends.
We are now looking for a Migration Engineer to represent Ericsson in the pursuit and execution of data migrations related to the Network Inventory and Geographical Information System (GIS), primarily comprising of solutions built around the Ericsson Network Engineer software.
Key Qualifications:
Normally requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience (strong practical experience of more than 10 years with more limited academic background can be considered).
High level system integration competence, capable in reading and understanding detailed integration specifications and xml code.
High level database skills, capable in extracting and updating data via PL/SQL (Oracle).
High level of skills in operation systems, i.e. file management and scripting.
Good understanding of the Telecom Operator's business model and end-to-end processes.
Understanding of Network Infrastructure and/or OSS area is crucial, and knowledge of Ericsson OSS products and approaches a strong advantage
Service oriented approach with high standards in complying to specified service level agreement
Good interpersonal, social and presentation skills, and an ability to build internal and customer working relationships quickly
Ability to work in multiple cultures, and in mixed teams
Each of experience working for a major telecoms operator or vendor, a specialized OSS vendor, a major consultancy or other professional services team is a plus
The position is actively customer-facing and requires excellent communications skills both verbal and written. In this experience-based role, the candidate is expected to be business minded with a proven track record of success.
