As a mechanical engineer within R&D, you will build up a great application and product knowledge and work with a wide range of products. Main work tasks are to perform engineering work towards continuous product improvement, new development and special products. Daily work tools for the mechanical engineer are our 3D-Cad system (Pro-Engineer) and our PDM-system (Team Center). In this role, you will work in close cooperation with the Product Engineers and Technical Product Managers.
Skills & Knowledge
• Education in mechanical engineering and/or relevant experience
• Preferable practical experience of working with CAD systems
• Proficient in MS-based applications such as Word and Excel
• English both written and spoken and preferable also Swedish

We are looking for driven and motivated Mechanical Engineers to join our teams and work in the Research and Development (R&D) department within Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation (URE).
A change in the construction of underground machines has started. Since 1873, Atlas Copco has developed innovative products and solutions for mining and tunneling industries. The development towards electrification and automation creates new challenges and new opportunities on how to build the machines and what characteristics we can provide the machines with to gain better performance. We are now looking for the right people to join us on this exciting journey!
Atlas Copco URE has a large program of machines used in tunneling and underground mining operation. The machines are operative all around the world, normally in very harsh environments with high demands on safety, reliability and productivity.
