Future more stringent emissions regulation requires that the emissions are very low during all conditions. To be able to meet this, accurate model capture the impact of ambient pressure and temperature and coolant water temperature is crucial. It is significant different conditions for the engine when the engine start at sea level at 0 ° compared to if the engine started at 1000 m above sea level at -10 °. Sufficient accurate models is enabler for being to simulate the behavior and for the control design. This work aims at expanding the open engine models to include impact of ambient pressure and temperature and coolant water temperature.
