Our Exciting Opportunity
The RF Technology unit is part of the Standards & Technology organization within Business Unit Network Products. Our mission is to drive research and leadership in RF technology with focus on wireless systems for the 5G and beyond.
We are now looking for a Master Researcher that will work with feasibility studies, system design, test beds, and technical innovation where emphasis is put on product performance, hardware architecture, low cost, power efficiency, signal processing, and radio algorithms like digital pre-distortion and crest factor reduction. The 5G introduce techniques like massive MIMO, beamforming and new mm-wave frequency bands which all pose both opportunities and challenges for the radio design that is at the heart of what we do.
You will
Develop novel concepts, solutions, and algorithms.
Perform, document, and communicate research studies, measurements, or computer simulations, predominantly made using Matlab as simulation tool
Introduce solutions into product development
Create new technical solutions and protect them with Intellectual Property Rights
Develop evaluation tools, demonstrators or test beds
Innovate!
Propose research topics and supervise students during their thesis work
Contribute to our research strategy and technology roadmap
Report to Line Manager of RF Technology
To be successful in the role you must have
The confident in solving sophisticated technical questions across organizations being part of a small team where your contributions span from early feasibility all through to implementation.
Good skills in analytical, structural, result oriented, and also look for creative solutions when lacking information, being comfortable with acting outside your formal area of responsibility when needed.
Experience from radio algorithm development and signal processing.
At least 10 years of relevant R&D experience, and we believe you have a PhD within the technical area with and as a person you are self-motivated, positive, and outgoing, in short, an outstanding teammate!
Additional Requirements
Technical education on university level and detailed technical leadership skills are required
Industrial experience from radio algorithm development and excellent technical competence and ability to drive studies within the areas of signal processing and radio-near algorithms
A genuine interest in Radio technologies
Ability to find and drive continuous improvement work
Good communications skills and a relationship builder
Proficient in written and spoken English
