hela Sverige We are looking for a Master Data Solution Architect & MM SME for a global company in Stockholm.
Start is ASAP, 9 months contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.
The objective of the Master Data Solution Architect & MM SME is to secure a robust, scalable, and harmonized master data solution across our customers SAP landscape. The role owns the material master concept, supports migration and testing activities, drives alignment across workstreams, and serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Material Master (MM), classification, and variant configuration.
Solution Architecture / Data Architect responsibilities
Own and evolve the global material master concept, including dependencies to classification, configuration, and variant configuration (VC).
Lead implementation of material master concept including blueprinting dependencies and process impacts.
Create scenario-based rules, templates, and design standards to simplify and harmonize product design.
Ensure an E2E perspective of material master creation covering SAP objects and integrations (MES, iPlan, MDMG).
Model and update central master data processes (material master, classification, configuration).
Define E2E scenarios for different material categories (spare parts, rolls, chemicals, sheeting, etc.).
Data & Migration stream responsibilities
Support the design of material master, service master, and classification structures.
Translate and map legacy data into SAP's master data concept.
Support the design and evolution of variant configuration models (e.g., rolls and sheeting).
Harmonize and map cross-functional structures (sales, sourcing, finance, production).
Coordinate and support E2E testing of master data creation processes.
Conduct train-the-trainer and end-user training within the master data area.
Support authorization concept design for master data.
Contribute to BCIM for product and master data domains.
Support other SAP master data objects where needed.
Line organization support ("firefighting")
Provide enablement and operational support across various master data objects.
Support introduction and adoption of organizational master data governance.
Maintain and troubleshoot VC models, including rule updates.
Perform mass updates, corrections, and general setup of material master.
Ensure stability for business teams and support system efficiency post-go-live.
Govern and coordinate the new product introduction (NPI) process.
Support transitions between process models such as MTO to MTS.
Contribute to information governance for cross-functional/shared data objects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership for SAP master data architecture and MM/VC design.
Drive alignment of material master structures, rules, and governance across workstreams.
Own and maintain E2E master data processes and harmonized implementation.
Collaborate with business data leads, IT architects, SMEs, and implementation partners.
Ensure master data consistency across integrated systems.
Support migration, testing, and data readiness activities for release cycles.
Act as SME and escalation point for MM, classification, and VC.
Shell requirements
Deep expertise in SAP MM including:
Material master
Classification
Variant configuration (VC/AVC)
Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations (design, migration, test, cutover)
Strong understanding of master data and its cross-functional use
Experience in data modeling and information architecture
Experience of integration solutions with production and planning systems
Experience of working in major transformation programs
Very good knowledge of English
Meritorious
Experience with SAP Signavio and SAP Best Practices
Experience with SAP AVC backend modeling
Experience in data governance in larger organizations
Knowledge of production-related systems (e.g. MES, planning tools)
Knowledge of Swedish
This is a full-time consultant position in Stockholm through Incluso. Start is ASAP, 9 months limited contract to begin with, with possibility of extension after that.
