Modvion's first tower - 30 m tall - was installed during spring 2020 after years of testing and development. Now we are working on our first commercial installation - the most environmentally friendly wind power plant ever to be installed in 2022.

Modvion develops the next generation of wind power towers, a patented modular construction made of laminated wood. The role
We offer a varied job together with skilled and committed colleagues with an opportunity to influence the entire production process. As Manufacturing Engineer you will be a core team member in Movions's manufacturing team. That means you will be designing and building equipment for large-scale production of module-based wind power towers that will transform the wind power industry. We are a tight knit team, and you will work together with our founders, business team and product development team, in developing all manufacturing aspects. The company will evolve, and your role, responsibilities and deliverables will change with it.
Your mission will be to take manufacturing from prototype stage to large-scale production. This means being heavily involved in the designing, engineering, and build-up of Modvions next factory. Tasks will include:
• Design work on production machines and other production related equipment.
• Investigations and calculations regarding production flows as well as testing and evaluation of both methods and tools.
• Procure, manage and collaborate with external suppliers on the specification, design, manufacture, and commissioning of production equipment.
• Develop, implement, and improve upon cell and plant layouts, including work instructions.
• Improve and optimize manufacturing operations through analytical studies (including time studies) of operating parameters, such as, production methods and processes on a continuous basis.
• Hands-on experience working, refining, and troubleshooting of advanced technical systems.
• Developing and testing prototypes of new mechanical designs
• Providing support and improvements to present product lines
• Preparing drawings
We're looking for...
Someone with B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or similar and at least five years' experience as a mechanical engineer in a manufacturing company. Experience of taking manufacturing from prototype stage to large scale production is a great advantage. You will quickly become familiar with the tasks if you have also worked in a small to midsized growth company. Fluent English is a requirement.
As a person, you are unpretentious and helpful, always happy to support wherever needed. You perform your tasks in an accurate and structured way while addressing uncertainties and change with an open and flexible mind. You feel confident enough within your expertise to take lead and work independently.
