The Volvo Penta Global Operations & Quality organization consists of plants in Sweden, China and the US. The Vara Plant in Sweden manufactures world class diesel engines for propulsion systems and consists of approximately 220 employees. AB Volvo Penta is dedicated to the development of best practices in order to meet our customers' needs. We are now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve the production performance.

Job description
• You will be responsible for introducing new products and changes in production.
• You will be responsible for the technical support for a part of the production flow.
• You will drive the improvement work and rationalizations within a part of the production flow.
• You will participate in project work, both within product and process projects.
• You will report to the Engineering Manager in Vara.

Requested qualifications
You have a university degree in Engineering or Automation and knowledge or experience from manufacturing operations in a plant environment. We also believe you have basic knowledge in quality and environmental standards and have a high interest in problem solving and continuous improvement work. Language skills in English and Swedish are a must since we are acting in an international environment.
