As a Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business in Sweden by providing strategic leadership, fostering team collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.
Your tasks:
Leadership & Strategy:
Serve as a key member of our co-leadership management team in Sweden
Define and execute the business plan, with full responsibility for achieving financial targets, including profit and loss accountability
Co-lead our Swedish team, fostering a culture of collaboration and trust within the local team and across the Drees & Sommer Group
Project Management:
Lead the execution of consulting projects focused on cost, strategy, organization, and processes throughout the real estate lifecycle
Oversee Technical Due Diligence processes
Managing feasibility studies/ projects development/ projects monitoring/ tenant-user experience in an autonomous and responsible manner
Ensuring project compliance with Swedish/ EU applicable norms and standards
Business Development:
Contact person for key customers in Sweden
Acquire projects and clients as well as make initial contact. The aim is to develop an effective long-term relationships with our clients
Client management which contains process inquiries, negotiation of quotes, contract preparation and signing
Internal Organization:
Collaborate in building a high-performing leadership team
Identify and develop future leaders, mentor managers, and drive succession planning
Conduct employee appraisals with site managers and ensure continuous employee engagement and development.
Define and implement a strategic market development plan for Sweden, aligning with broader business goals
Your profile:
A degree level in civil engineering, project management, architecture or equivalent background
10+ years of experience in in senior management roles, ideally with a focus on Cost Management in a variety of industries
Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams
Deep understanding of customer needs and experience with Drees & Sommer's core services
International experience and a well-established network within the real estate and construction management industries
Fluent in English, Swedish is a plus
Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
