Job Description
The Volvo Penta Technology department secures competitive marine and industrial power systems. The department has overall responsibility for policies, guidelines, methods etc. regarding development and quality assurance of all product development within Volvo Penta.
Volvo Penta is seeking a Manager Information Systems - Volvo Penta Technology. This role will be responsible for defining and establishing solutions that make Volvo Penta a leader in sustainable power solutions. The Manager Information Systems will work closely with management and other stakeholders to set governance and strategy for our PLM/PDM (Product Lifecycle Management/Product Data Management) systems, building key user networks to get input on business needs cross-functionally, and driving digital change to keep pace with requirements and solutions in a data-driven manner.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with management and other stakeholders to set governance and strategy for our PLM/PDM systems
Build key user networks to get input on business needs cross-functionally
Drive digital change to keep pace with requirements and solutions in a data-driven manner
Manage change management and governance for Volvo Penta Technology's unique IT applications (VPCS/PSM, ProPlan/ProTime, and SpotOn)
Manage a portfolio of shared IT applications with Volvo Group
Qualifications
At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
5+ years of experience in systems management, including working in close contact with users and translating business capabilities into digital capabilities
Strong analytical skills to advise teams on digital change and keep pace with requirements and solutions in a data-driven manner
Experience in setting governance and strategy for PLM/PDM systems
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams
Comfortable working with management and other stakeholders on strategic questions, budget, requests for improvements, and planning of implementation
