The opportunity
We are hiring exceptional talent to join our Nordic HR Transactions team in Stockholm, Sweden. You will have the chance to shape our growing team, while working with some of the leading HR and pension specialists on advising and supporting corporate and private equity clients in transactions. You will support and guide our clients through a broad range of complex people matters across the entire deal cycle, including HR and pension due diligence, ensuring readiness for day one, and achieving synergies in post-merger integrations.
Examples of your key responsibilities in pre- and post-deal phases:
Support due diligence reports on HR, including analysis of target company data to identify key people related financial exposures in a due diligence context, such as workforce costs and future liabilities, retention risks among key employees, side-by-side benefits comparison, and assessment of incentives programs, among other things
Collaborate with EY colleagues and client executives to address people related issues in signing-to-closing and post-deal integration phases (e. g, HR operating model implementation, organizational design, union consultation strategies, compensation planning) to ensure seamless employee transitions
Support the evaluation, design, and development of retention strategies that align compensation, benefits and incentives for executives and key employees with overarching acquisition goals

Strong communication skills and experience producing high calibre reports and presentations
To qualify for the role you must have
Excellent communication skills in English required; Swedish is favoured
4-7 years of experience in transactions or strategy consulting
Quantitative mindset with a focus on delivering excellent work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency and understanding of Generative AI as well as Microsoft Office package
Strong interest in the financial aspects of people/HR topics, including compensation and benefits and/or pensions
Ideally, you'll also have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Financial analysis of HR costs and liabilities from annual reports and internal financial statements
Experience working with senior stakeholders on HR M&A programmes
Previous M&A experience, ideally with a focus on people-related matters, e.g. Due Diligence, post-deal integration, compensation & benefits, organisation design, competence strategy and fulfilment, change- and/or culture programs
Experience in analysing and assessing pension plans, ideally with experience accounting for reporting of pension costs under IFRS and Swedish GAAP
