In this work, LMC specialist closely cooperates with the SIS IT department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Modeling and promoting effective uses of LMC resources for learning and teaching.
• Modeling and promoting effective uses of LMC resources for differentiation and English language acquisition.
• Acquiring, systematizing, circulating and organising LMC materials.
• Guiding teachers in the use of the LMC resources for instruction.
• Planning and delivering student information literacy sessions in the library.
• Instilling the joy of reading and increasing literacy at SIS by organizing different activities within and outside LMC. and making the LMC a more inviting learning space.
• Making the LMC an inviting, student age appropriate learning space.
• Creating and regularly updating LMC blog.
• Cooperating with the IT department in strategically developing LMC.
Qualifications, Attributes and Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of qualified teaching experience.
• Librarian and media / technology skills.
• Passion for literacy development.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team.
• The ability to show initiative and work independently.
• The ability to function effectively under pressure.
• The ability to establish good rapport with children and adults.
• Pleasant and friendly personality.
