Diagonal Bio AB (Diagonal) is developing Panviral, a ground-breaking diagnostics platform for fast, simple, accurate and highly affordable detection of essentially any infectious disease pathogen. This is made possible by Diagonal's proprietary technology, which combines molecular biology and electrochemistry.
The company was founded on the cusp of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 with the vision to limit the spread of infectious disease world-wide by developing and bringing the gold standard of infectious disease testing to point-of-care (POC).

http://www.diagonalbio.com/.Diagonal is now looking for a Laboratory Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled and experienced team. It is also an opportunity to grow within Diagonal and be a part of daily decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
As a Laboratory Technician you will plan, perform and analyse molecular biology laboratory work in an independent fashion and keep the laboratory running according to regulatory requirements. Furthermore you will;
• Plan and conduct experiments
• Perform data analysis and statistics
• Write reports, records and instructions (e.g. WIs and SOPs)
• Organize the laboratory and keep the equipment maintained
• Ensure high quality laboratory practices
• Work in a QA and RA compliant manner
• Be an integral part of Diagonal's R&D team
• Plan for follow-up actions in discussion with colleagues
Education and Experience
You have a relevant post-gymnasial education, BSc/MSc in molecular biology, biotechnology or similar. Preferably you also have knowledge in one of the following disciplines/techniques: electrochemistry, microbiology, sensors, qPCR and/or gene technology.
You have at least three years' experience from working in the industry in a similar position (preferably within med tech/diagnostics) at a start-up or small company. It is meriting if you have knowledge of quality systems and standards like ISO 13485 and IVDR.
You possess scientific knowledge and feel comfortable working with laboratory procedures and best practice as well as risk and safety management. You are used to work in a QMS environment and have experience of data analysis software programs such as GraphPad, Origin or similar.
You have solid experience in Microsoft Office suite and are fluent in both English and Swedish (both written and spoken).
We are looking for a structured and self-motivated person with a critical thinking mindset and an attention to details. You can easily adapt to changes and work under pressure if needed. Finally, you enjoy working in a team and collaborate and communicate well with others.
