Junior Function- & Software Designer - Collision Avoidance
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As JUNIOR FUNCTION- & SOFWARE DESIGNER within the group Collision Avoidance you will be part of a group that develops functions and software for mitigation and/or prevention of traffic incidents. Our team is driven by a strong motivation to be leading within the area and has contributed to a number of automotive "world first" developments in recent year, such as the "City Safety" and "Pedestrian Detection" systems.
Our scope encompasses research, pre-study, development and maintenance. The main focus is new development on the research frontier of active safety and specifically collision avoidance. Developing "world firsts", utilising new research, requires an innovative and creative organisation and personnel.
We are now looking for a junior engineer to participate in our team that strives to deliver technology helping drivers mitigate of avoid traffic incidents.
Job profile:
• Participate in patent analysis and innovation work
• Contribute in functional requirement setting, system- and functional safety, failure mode and effect analysis
• Develop algorithms for collision avoidance functions
• Implement functionality according to set requirements by model based software design
• Participate in function verification and analysis of end customer response
Your profile:
• MSc degree in Engineering
• Show ability to take initiatives and good team member qualities
• Like challenges and have a drive for results
• Posses analytical skills
• Communicate well and have excellent English skills verbally and in writing
