IT Helpdesk Assistant to European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control
Work Description
We are searching for a Secretary for our client, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Solna.
Task:
The person shall be requested to perform various tasks including:
• Provide front office service in relation to computer systems and helpdesk support
• Register, analyse and solve reported incidents
• Support users and their work stations, telephones, PDAs and other IT equipment
• Install, connect and move PC equipment
• Manage user accounts
• Carry out any other tasks requested by the front office coordinator
• Provide application support and ensure installation, reconfiguration and re-installation of applications
• Install, connect and move PC equipment, keep the inventory of the ICT assets
• Produce and update technical, management and user oriented documentation.
You will get an employment as a consultant with Manpower. The assignment is to start from end of January/beginning of February for 6 months with possible extension up to the total length of 12 months. The role is for full-time.
Competences and experience
These specific competences and experience are required for the current assignment:
• Secondary education and relevant professional experience
• Professional experience linked to aforementioned duties
• Good knowledge of MS Desktop O/S, especially Windows and Microsoft Office products
• Good knowledge of hardware environment (PC, printer, peripherals)
• Good trouble shooting skills and experience in a first line support function
• Willingness to work flexible hours between 8.00-18.00 hrs and to work during weekends/ out of office hours in exceptional cases
• Thorough knowledge in English, both written and oral
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• ITIL knowledge and knowledge of Incident Management Processes
• High service orientation
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle responsibilities
• Flexibility to take up changing tasks.
