Within the Volvo Penta Digital Services portfolio in Group IT we are looking for a Senior IT Architect/Domain Architect.

The Volvo Penta Digital Services team consists of 20 people located in both Poland and Sweden.
We work closely with our business stakeholders. In an agile way, we are supporting the customer network with high quality solutions. We are entering the new era of Digitalization and Business Data Services, and our contribution brings a lot of business value and is highly recognized and appreciated across the Volvo Group and Volvo Penta.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a domain architect you are accountable for EA activities, to govern and support the solutions of a given business domain. You work proactively and holistically with processes, information entities, applications and technology.
The domain architects provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of the domains solutions architecture. Always having external disruptive forces, as well as internal business objectives in mind. You create deliverables to secure understanding of the baseline (as-is) situation and the target (to-be) goal, as well as the transition roadmaps.
Domain architects also need to have basic understanding of application architecture, to be able to interact in an efficient way with application architects. Includes concepts like service-oriented architecture (SOA), domain driven design and reference architectures.
You will also have the role as Lead Architect, in domain's prioritized projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand business drivers and business capabilities (target and baseline). Determine corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements, to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
Design and lead the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies. Based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements. Consult with application and infrastructure development projects, on a frequent level.
Manage and develop the architecture for a broader scope of projects, working closely with application and lead architects. Provide consulting support to application architects within projects, to ensure the projects are well aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
Analyze the business-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement and innovation.
Participate in relevant Volvo Group network representing Volvo Penta.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON WITH...
High knowledge of all aspects of architecture
Strong business and technical acumen to contribute to the strategic business plan and operational direction
Experience in having responsibilities and driving an agenda in a global organization
Managing stakeholders and influencing the direction of program and projects
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams
More than 5 years' experience in responsibility for architecture and a university degree in engineering or computer science or similar
Experience of working as Lead Architect
Practical knowledge of Design Patterns and best practices
Practical knowledge of integration methods and processes
