Main duties and responsibilities
In this position you will support our sites in Europe and Asia as a HSE specialist. You can be seated at any location where we are represented in Europe (Sweden, Norway, Finland, France, Germany for example). You will ensure that all European and Asian sites adheres to their local legislation and meets the Akzo Nobel standards. This means identify and helping the sites deviating from the plan of achieving the common platform targets. You will:
• Ensure a close follow-up of the people and process safety programs like Behavior Based Safety, Process Safety Management, SAQ compliance etc
• Analyze the gaps, agree on correction plans and support the sites in the progress
• Providing adapted trainings, advices and support
• Acting as internal consultant, formulating possible solutions
• Conducting risks assessments and other investigations like root cause analyses
• Establish and maintain a solid best practice platform between the HSE business partners through networking
Qualifications
• Minimum five years of experience from operation including HSE responsibilities
• Knowledge of the AkzoNobel HSE functional role and HSE management systems and programs
• Degree in HSE, chemical engineering or related discipline or equivalent by experience
• Ability to drive continuous improvement of the processes, policies, standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written English language skills
