The HR Director for Wood Adhesives in Europe is responsible for implementation of the strategic direction for human resource management and policy throughout the region. Implements policy and directives and
Coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, employee relations, and succession planning. Through the regional HR network/country organization - coordination of benefits, training policies and procedures. Also responsible for HR operations around company restructures, acquisitions, site closures and headcount reduction programs. Work closely with the SBU Management Team to achieve financial and HR metrics
The primary role is SBU HR Director but this role also plays a significant role in setting BU policies and
practices. This person is a member of the BU HR Management Team, SBU Management Team and the HR country organization.
Plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate the human resources function and performance in Europe.
Translate the business strategic and tactical goals and objectives into HR strategic and operational plans.
Serves as a business partner with the SBU Director and the SBU Management team.
Directs, together with BU HR Director, the management of all salary administration activities by providing
Guidance on position leveling, approval of incentive and bonus plans, exceptions to policies and programs to ensure internal equity and consistency is maintained in the system.
Directs the management of human resources activities such as recruitment and benefit administration by
Reviewing and approving proposals for consistency with policy, monitoring costs, seeking cost effective containment measures and providing guidance with regard to problem resolution in order to provide a competitive benefit program in a cost effective manner, and coordinating many of these activities with the country organization. Manages employee development by reviewing regional training needs, advising on course selection to improve employee skills are enhanced and ensure business unit training requirements are met. Coordinates the implementation of Corporate HR programs and leadership talent review for the region. Organizes all headcount changes and BU restructuring in the region, together with BU HR Director and sBU Managers.Coordinates the job evaluation method throughout the region.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
