If you want to utilize state of the art methods to test and verify next generation electrified luxury cars, the role as our new Hardware in the loop (HIL) Development Engineer is the role for you to prosper in!
You will be a part of the HIL Development team that belongs to the section Electric Propulsion System (EPS) System Integration. The team consists of around 15 very competent members from all over the world. We are working with Hardware In the Loop development including e.g. model development/integration and fault tracing on both SW and HW. We support all the engineering departments within the EPS area, meaning take on the responsibility for design and deliveries of Electrical Drive Systems (Electric machines and Inverters), Battery Systems, as well as Power Supply and Charging Systems for electrified vehicles.
What you'll do
You will, together with our HIL team be responsible for developing the HIL test environment for all high voltage components included in the electrical drivetrain. As part of our expanding team you will be working in a creative environment shaping tomorrow's virtual methods within powertrain electrification. You will work in cross-functional agile teams with other teams within the Laboratory and with our internal customers at P&Q.
You will work with model development and verification, process and method development of HIL systems, implementing environment models and adapting test object. To be able to success, you have to develop and maintain a personal network with simulation community within P&Q. You will also need to communicate with developing teams and suppliers, and offer support the users of HIL.
Further you will document HIL processes and models within EPS, you will participate in development of testing methods and support test automation. You will also take part in finding technical solutions for new functionality.
Due to globalization of the company and constant contact with other locations, travels can be required, for instance China.
Do you fit the profile?
We see that you have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, SW Engineering or equivalent with emphasis on vehicle and driveline. You are proficient in modelling of dynamic system using Matlab/Simulink or similar simulation tools and possess knowledge and experience within CAE and HIL system. If you have worked in an Agile environment it is beneficial.
You have good communication skills and appreciate working in a team, contributing to the common goal. But you also possess the ability to individually drive for changes and implementations. You are engaged to the tasks that you are responsible for and have an analytic mind-set, always aiming of for finding a solution!
You have a strong background in HIL development and an interest for software. You need to have basic programming knowledge as well as electronic system and electrical measurement equipment. Experience in Python would be beneficial as well as knowledge in dSPACE systems.
You are fluent in English and holds a B driver licence. Experience from some of below would also be considered meritorious:
* Setting up test sequences and analysis of test results
* CAN communication and Control units in vehicle electrical system
* Electric Motors, Power Electronics and Traction Battery technology
* Working with Hazardous Voltage or High Voltage system
