The International School of Helsingborg has provided a truly international education at the Primary and Secondary levels since 1995. Today, we have approximately 850 students between 2 and 19 years of age, across all programmes. We are an IB Continuum school, delivering the International Baccalaureate curriculum for all program levels. English is the primary language of learning at the school.

We are looking for a committed and driven health educator who is passionate about supporting personal, social and physical health and well-being for students. The role involves spending about 50% of a work week working with students and teachers in areas related to personal, social and physical health and well-being. The other 50% of the role will be supporting students in other aspects of the program in our school and Fritids (before and after school) programs.
Qualifications
As a person, you are responsible, driven, solution-focused and driven by the success of students and staff. You are a confident leader who is happy to take your own initiatives and be driven by challenges. You have a very good ability to communicate in a way that leads to success and results.
The ideal candidate will have a university education related to health sciences - physical, social and emotional. This candidate will also have experience working with children aged 6-12 years old as well as coaching/training adults. It is a requirement that you have a strong knowledge of the International Baccalaureate PSPE (Personal, Social, Physical Education) curriculum goals. We see it as an extra merit if you have experience of having trained in wellness issues such as inclusion, stress, mindfulness etc.
The task of the health educator is to support teachers and students in participating in activities that support their health and well-being during the school day as well as stimulating them to choose a lifestyle that keeps them healthy and continuously maintains and develops their health. The work will include, but may not be limited to leading fitness and well-being activities for students and/or teachers; establishing structures, materials and routines for continuous health and well-being work; modeling and guiding teachers and staff members in their own health and well-being work and activities; planning more strategic initiatives to increase health individually or for a group; evaluating and developing spaces and/or materials to enhance health and well-being work. In addition, the health educator would be expected to collaborate with various departments within the organization as well as outside for initiatives that will further promote student and staff health and well-being.
