hela Sverige Lead a team of system engineers on architect level plus a number of specialists within reliability and safety, in total about 15 people. Support the team members with their operative tasks, represent the team in the Engineering organization, including personally participate in the Systems Engineering management team, and personally and together with team members drive strategic improvements.
Your task is to make it easier for your team members to succeed in securing their operative deliveries, e.g. by supporting strategic choices, by facilitating priority decisions, by develop their set of skills, by defining an efficient process landscape, by representing their needs outwards in the organization and by setting encouraging targets. Historically, efforts have been focused on specific customer deliveries, but the intention for the future is to build our standard platform of Building Blocks and system solutions.
Some of the present challenges concerns securing the necessary team capacity, e.g. by recruitments and by using external contractors, to develop the cooperation with internal partners, including resources in India, and to harmonize our solutions with sister sites in other countries, to change our work methods, e.g. by continue the roll-out of Model Based Design & Systems Engineering concepts, and to continue our transformation from focusing on highly customized order projects to a generic platform, which then is the basis for multiple deliveries. Our way of achieving the latter is modularization. The System Platform team has a key role since its responsibility is primarily to provide the system parts of this generic platform.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Ultimately, you are responsible for your team's ability to deliver the platform and base solutions which allows the sister teams in the organization to deliver according to time, cost and quality commitments in customer projects.
You are responsible for securing the capacity of your team and the work environment of your team members.
You are the team's representative outwards. You need to understand the essence of the technical aspects and explain concepts and solutions to other functions.
You are responsible for the process landscape, its ability to meet necessary standards, its effectiveness and user friendliness.
You are responsible for making sure the cooperation with other sites and partners works efficiently. This includes our cooperation with internal partners in India.
There are multiple improvement initiatives ongoing in the organization. You are the representative for your team and you are responsible for not only its ability to improve, but also how the system platform development supports the improvement needs within other teams and functions.
Finally, you need to make sure that it is fun to work with the system platform development including reliability and safety. We want to see inspired and enthusiastic employees because we believe this is essential for our long-term success.

- M.Sc. in Engineering or similar degree.
- Minimum 7 years related experience.
- Extensive experience from systems engineering of complex industrial deliveries.
- Experience from rail, power or transport industry is a strong advantage.
- Experience from working internationally is an advantage.
- Experience from product organizations is a strong advantage.
- Manager, team leader or project manager experience.
- Very strong analytical ability.
- Strong oral and written communication ability.
- Experience from driving improvements in technical settings.
- Fluent in English and preferably Swedish. Knowledge in German would be an advantage.
- Willingness to occasional travel.
