At People Services we are responsible for providing the Volvo group with efficient and high-quality services within the administrative HR area. We are a team of 350 employees in eight countries. From our Shared Service Center (SSC) in Poland we deliver global support to the full Volvo group, and in our clusters, we deliver country specific HR administrative support. The areas we support in are: Contact center, People Operations, Compensation & Benefits administration, Payroll, International Mobility and Recruiting services.

We are currently recruiting a HEAD OF PAYROLL at People Services Sweden. You will be part of People Services Sweden Management Team and report to Head of People Services North EMEA.

Your responsibilities...
You are responsible for the budget within the payroll area, and responsible for the full payroll process including process improvements for Volvo Group Sweden. Payroll is outsourced to an external provider, and together with the provider we need to secure high quality in the full payroll process utilizing highly efficient and proven ways of working.

People Services is located just by the seashore at Arendal, Gothenburg. We are about 60 employees serving the Volvo group in Sweden with HR administration, recruitment, and international mobility services. This is also where we have our global head office.

Are we the right match for you?
We are looking for a customer and quality-oriented senior payroll profile with the ability to provide inspiring leadership.

In line with People Services target image and strategic objectives you and the delivery organization focus of providing innovative, optimized and quality assured services to our customers. You ensure the continuous improvement, implementation and optimization (digitalization) of our deliveries within the payroll area. You interact with many stakeholders including our Shared Service Center in Poland, HR Center of expertise, IT organizations, our external suppliers within payroll and pension administration and, of course, our customers.

This is what you will spend most of your time with...
Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of processes, policies, tools and guidelines related to legislative changes or improvements within the Payroll area in cooperation with the payroll provider. Monthly, more than 20 000 pay slips are produced in a quite complex company and local agreement structure, in cooperation with our outsourcing partner you will focus on securing a "best in class" solution
Secure the quality in payroll process from an end-to-end perspective including all compensations and benefits ending up on the pay-slip
Follow up on KPI:s and costs connected to Payroll, working with a lean mindset
Internal and external benchmark to identify best practices, focusing on digitalization and smart solutions
Actively take part in strategic projects and initiatives within the payroll area, improve the general payroll competence in People Services
Support and cooperate with relevant parties ensure effective HR Support to the business

This is what we would like you to bring...
HR experience in an international environment
Knowledge in Payroll, time and core HR systems as well as PC Skills including Office 365 suite
Experience from a similar position, you have spent some years working as a payroll manager in a larger company
Competence within relevant legislation
IT knowledge and interest are important to succeed in this role

As a person you are or have:
Structured and organized, process oriented, with experience of working with lean methods and tools
Customer focused with the ability to build relations and a proactive engagement with stakeholders
Strong communication skills, including an excellent level of verbal and written English and Swedish
