hela Sverige Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Head of Information Technology & Infrastructure to join our passionate team in Stockholm. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
With a background in software design and development we also expect you to have a proven track record of building world class, creative, and agile IT organizations. You will be responsible for selecting technologies, operating and maintaining corporate technology infrastructure, and supporting a diverse user base. Reporting directly to the Chief Automation Officer you will work closely with the executive team.
The Head of Information Technology & Infrastructure will be in time build and be in charge of an IT-team. As leader of the unit you will have the opportunity to build a competent and dependable team from scracth, capable to scale Northvolt's IT and infrastructure in Sweden and beyond.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Build the IT and infrastructure organization including user support, network, and technical operations teams
Perform requirements analysis to select technologies which will form the technology foundation for Northvolt's operations
Work with internal software development teams to perform build vs buy analysis and develop, manage, and maintain complex integrations
Work with internal infosec team and external consultants to ensure Northvolt infrastructure is secure, safe, and private
Work with internal DevOps teams to develop and integrate corporate infrastructure running predominately in the cloud
Supervise the development and advancement of our corporate and operational communications networks
Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers for installing new technology and training employees on its use

Education/Experience
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in information technology and resource management
Extensive experience working with open source technologies, especially linux based systems
Experience working with cloud infrastructure: AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure
Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems including leading requirements analysis, integration planning, and vendor selection/negotiation
Software development or DevOps engineering and management experience preferred
Must have worked in multi-cultural environment
Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
