On behalf of our client Mölnlycke Health Care, an international growing company, we are now recruiting a Group Accounting Director within the Group Finance organization.
In this new key position in Group Finance, at Mölnlycke Health Care you lead the group accounting department that is responsible for the consolidation of group accounts as well as the planning and coordination of financial external audit and financial internal control procedures within the group.
Mölnlycke Health Care is a subsidiary to Investor AB and therefore follows reporting requirements as a listed company. Mölnlycke Health Care also publishes reports to bond investors twice a year.
In this position you also have extensive liaison with senior stakeholders in the global finance organization to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and gain an understanding of the group's performance and financial position.
You are responsible to lead and develop your team, currently consisting of two Group Accountants.
The position is based at the headquarters in Gothenburg and reports to Corporate Controller.
Key accountabilities:
• Lead monthly group consolidation and reporting together with the team.
• Responsible to keep group reporting principles up to date with the latest IFRS GAAP pronouncements and recommendations as well as Swedish Accounting principles. Plan and manage implementation of such changes to reporting principles. Ensure all relevant finance staff are trained appropriately.
• Plan and coordinate external financial audit for the group.
• Act as an advisor to group companies in complex accountings matters.
• Business owner of Mölnlycke consolidation system. Plan and implement upgrades and changes together with IT.
• Management of the financial internal control framework, which includes planning and managing as well internally as externally performed finance reviews of local sites. Liaise with corporate compliance officer.

For this position a Master's degree in accounting and finance or similar is required as well as at least 5-10 years' experience in a senior group accounting position or equivalent qualifications for example from audit/public accounting. You have excellent knowledge of IFRS and Swedish accounting principles.
Leadership experience from a smaller team is important and considered a strength.
You are highly IT literate and have good knowledge of group reporting tools and consolidation software.
To be successful in this position you are a structured and methodical team leader who provides clear direction, distributes work load appropriately as well as provide clear feedback to encourage people to develop. You constantly seek new ways to improve existing processes and you exhibit high levels of team work and cooperation.
In this role you have the ability to deliver to tight deadlines and have a sense of urgency while retaining deliver of best practice and accuracy.
We expect you to have an excellent business acumen and understanding as well as having good communication skills.
You are fluent in English, written as well as spoken and other language skills are creditable.
