The performed activities span over the complete development process including system design, electric hardware design of sensors, actuators, harnesses, hardware interface programming, software function and algorithm design, software implementation and verification.
We are looking for an Experienced Hardware & System Engineer with the ambition to join a global group who has the responsibility to develop and maintain the product and the infrastructure for powertrain management systems.
The position is composed of two roles, one as Global System Responsible Level 2 for the Starting System, and the other as Engineering Leader for Actuators. The starter motor is central in both cases, and this combination of roles will enable good solutions around that component, and also interesting challenge around other system aspects and components. As part of the job you should lead two teams of engineers with the responsibility to define and specify the Starting System and Actuators.
The group you will belong to is a global team of 13 people with a good atmosphere and a great go-ahead spirit. We are now looking for persons with a lot of energy and passion for taking us into the future.
The main responsibility for this position will be to lead the global harmonization of the development. You will be expected to define and drive strategies for commonality within, and between platforms and also to secure that knowledge is reused. There will be close connection to Advanced Engineering both by contributing to development of roadmaps and also by defining and leading projects.
As Global System Responsible Level 2 Starting System you are expected to govern the system by defining, documenting and maintaining a System definition. You will need to balance and solve technical issues for the system(s) and preserve system commonality. The role is also responsible for approval of technical solutions in the system area proposed by projects.
As Engineering Leader Actuators you will have the technical responsibility within the System & Component Team, and be responsible for engineering recommendation for supplier selection. A vital part will be to build the technical roadmap synthesis together with the engineering team.
Qualifications and Competences
• Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• Significant experience within product development in various technical areas (> 5 years).
• Recognized Hardware Engineer
• Communication & Influencing
• Leadership
• Fluent in English
To be successful in this position you need to be curious and have a collaborative mindset. You must also have the ability to work globally and be able to negotiate and decide.

The position is open flexible. Place of work: GOT (Sweden) or LYS (France)
