Our common objective is to instruct the participants about the methods and the knowledge needed to improve the Volvo CE's business, dealer's business as well as our business.
In this position you will serve the function of a generalist. You will be responsible to develop training materials for a comprehensive portfolio of Volvo Construction Equipment products. You will not be restricted to developing training materials for a singular product. You will regularly collaborate with the CD department's senior trainers who are product specialists and subject matter experts. You will receive benefit from their knowledge and experience which will enable you to grow in your own role. You will collaborate with another team member already serving in this generalist role. A team leader will provide you with guidance. Your Competence Development department manager will secure that your professional development is supported.
This team called Competence Development Sales Solutions, here after referred to using the abbreviation CD.
This position is a Global position. A Global Trainer is responsible to develop material which will satisfy the differing needs of the Volvo channel of distribution worldwide, as well as the specific need within each of the Volvo CE Regions. An essential element of this job is a capacity to understand the different cultures within the Volvo CE Regions and an ability to use this understanding to incorporate Volvo customer values into your material and your methods of instruction.
Main tasks:
Develop Training Course objectives and content in cooperation with regional key trainers
Within your area of responsibility, deliver applicable global courses to regional trainers and product specialists/product managers
Deliver training courses to dealer personnel on behalf of the regions, according to the agreed and established process
Deliver other types of training to regional staff based on decisions taken in Operational Forums
Lead CD program study projects
Responsibilities:
Develop new courses; maintain existing courses according to the maintenance process
Be the contact inside Volvo CE concerning training questions regarding CD Sales Solutions
Communication with external and internal stakeholders
Collect, coordinate and provide all information on the CD course schedule, resource planning, program status, planned changes, risks, etc.
Ensure that all relevant information is available and documents are created and updated for each project phase
Determine, prioritize and document changes in CD courses projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope by creating and maintaining timetable for CD courses projects in coordination with stakeholders (managers, trainers, media developers as well as internal and external suppliers)
Take responsibility for the quality of the programs created according to current CD standards
Be the coordinator for CD project meetings
Competences:
Pedagogical education is beneficial
Sales education and/or actual sales experience is strongly preferred
Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills are required
Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing are required; competence with other languages are enhances qualification and is very welcome
Respect for and acceptance for other cultures is absolutely necessary
Good adaptability and willingness to work independently and in a group
Strong capability to combine creativity with implementation
