For our international client we are looking for a Global Category Manager to further develop the way-of-working within Professional Services and to support the Group with services that deliver outstanding value at the most competitive total cost possible. You will be part of Group Supply Chain Category Purchasing.
The sub-categories included in the scope of this role are:
Engineering Services, Temporary Labour, Management Advisory Services and Other professional services, such as Quality & Environment, Accounting, Tax & Audit, Patent Agencies, etc.
As a Global Category Manager, you are expected to:
• Drive strategic development of the various sub-categories, to implement future-proof setups that optimize costs and ensure all business units get the external support needed to achieve their strategic objectives.
• Ensure the supplier bases for more re-occurring services are properly equipped with enough supply, standardized contracts, a competition model and a simple request-to-order process.
• Inspire and functionally lead and support local buyers throughout the world.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Execute multinational sourcing projects in close collaboration with local buyers and stakeholders, such as HR, local management teams or specific functions.
• Execute relatively complex sourcing's of various service deliverables and outsourced services.
• A big part of the scope is various engineering services, but there is also a big variety of other services, which makes it both fun and challenging.
• In close collaboration with People Experience, facilitate Contingent Workforce Management by developing processes and help implement systems as needed to get a better control of cost, headcount and competences etc.
• Challenge status quo on items such as near/off-shoring, hiring instead of buying, new delivery models etc.

Qualifications
• You have a relevant academic education, such as a degree in finance, business, law, or engineering
• You have experience from category management, sourcing and contracting in a multinational environment.
• You have very strong English skills, written and spoken.
• It is advantageous to possess the purchasing skills listed, but it is not a must.

Personal qualities
You have proven stakeholder management skills and an ability to communicate and drive change. You have strong analytical skills, and are business minded with negotiation capabilities. You have the ability to manage a big set of reactive and proactive activities in a structured manner and ability to work in a global environment, interacting with different cultures.
Admission and Application
Full time position, 40h/week. The position will start as soon as possible, and the assignment is expected to run until 2023-12-31 with possibility of extension.
