Direct Material & Program Purchasing will start a pilot called Forward Sourcing at the beginning of 2017. The pilot will test a new way of sourcing connected to SAP Sourcing and will handle all sourcing for V320 top hat. As Forward Sourcing Buyer you will be responsible for sourcing of new projects in a cross functional team.
Main responsibilities
Sourcing activities according to Volvo Product Development System deliverables
Issue RFQ (Request For Quotation)
Confirm that suppliers meet standard requirements to be part of sourcing
Quote consolidation and analyze
Support sourcing negotiation
Lead data analyze and support selection of recommended supplier
Prepare and sign nomination contracts with suppliers
Co-operate in cross-functional teams
Required qualifications
Commercial or Technical University degree
Interest in technology and in making business
Purchasing experience from Volvo Cars Direct Material is necessary
International experience from purchasing within automotive industry needed
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Good overall computer (MS Office) and administration skills are needed including good knowledge in excel and power point
Personal qualities
High degree of integrity
Ability to work successfully in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage priorities and schedule to meet deadlines and
expectations
