As Force Measurement R&D Manager you will lead a team of experts developing and maintaining our leading product portfolio like stressometer and rolling mill solutions, web tension and dimension sensors.
You will drive execution of new product development projects, fostering a culture of innovation within the organization.
This position reports to Global Business Line Manager.
Your responsibilities
Ensuring timely and on-budget execution of R&D projects, assigning competent resources, monitoring progress, taking corrective actions when necessary
Optimizing and re-organizing the R&D team and external service providers and suppliers
Planning and ensuring an optimal project portfolio for the team, and overseeing and supporting efficient project execution
Developing and maintaining competence in the R&D team
Supporting Product Management to define the development roadmap
Ensuring smooth cooperation with other R&D teams in the group, business area and division, sharing results and best practices
Supporting manufacturing and service to understand root cause of problems, solving quality issues, optimizing process stability etc.
Ensuring the Product Development Process follows the required international /quality standards
Your background
Masters or doctorate in Engineering, preferably Computer Engineering or Computer Science with minimum 10+ years of industry experience including R&D management or R&D project management of large software projects
In-depth knowledge and experience in managing teams dealing with multiple projects
Experience and awareness of modern software and hardware technologies and development methodologies
Senior people management/leadership and technology management skills
Effective communication skills, enabling exchange with multiple stakeholders in our global organization
Strong collaborative skills, enabling to reach alignment between peers and other managers, both in the local unit and in the global team
