We are looking for a new colleague to join our accounting department within Stena Line. This role will have a special focus on our business in the Irish Sea (UK).

Would you like to be a part of transforming Europe's leading Ferry Company?
Stena Line is in an exciting period of change, when it comes to digitalization and truly being an innovative forward-thinking company. We are transforming the way we work to meet both the business' needs as well as our customer's expectations. We want to become an even more customer focused, digital and sustainable company that is attractive both for customers, employees and partners.

Now, we need to strengthen our department with an additional Financial Controller. In this position you are based at our head office in Gothenburg and you will be part of a team of five people and report to the Accounting Manager for the Irish Sea / North Sea. You will have responsibility for one or more companies, but also other duties that are performed across the companies. The Finance Department is organized as a kind of Shared Service Centre (SSC) in which the accounting department is included. We work as a corporate finance department which means that our work encompasses different legal entities as other departments.

What will you do?
The accounting department includes a total of 11 people and is divided into two teams. The teams are led by two department heads who report directly to the Financial Control Manager. The accounting department has as main task to plan, execute, and analyze financial statements for Stena Line business and legal entities. Other responsibilities that you will become involved in are;

• developing procedures and processes
• ensure that we comply with local laws and accounting principles
• providing support and expertise to the business
• support and training to other departments in both the Finance Department and our lines
• internal control

This is a great opportunity to get a good glimpse into an international organization where you will be working with a variety of tasks in a complex environment. You will be part of a group that is responsible for operations in the Irish Sea (UK) and North Sea (NL). Your role will have a focus on the business in UK. We are trying to get a smooth reporting process, which means that data is shared between different individuals. Because robot technology and digitization are on our agenda, there will be an opportunity to be a part of that development, too. In short, it means that the content of the service may change over time.

Who are you?
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. As a person you are driven, analytical and flexible. You like to take a lot of initiative and can also lead smaller projects. We value a communicative team player who delivers high quality and can take on the big or small tasks. Your positive energy will be an asset to the team and you share your knowledge with your colleagues. To help each other, contribute to a good working relationship and create a good atmosphere is something that is important to you. You are solution-oriented and motivated by contributing to the continuous development of the future, as well as your own development in the role.

The must-have 's:

• Degree in Business Administration
• 5-6 years of qualified work experience from accounting, preferably from an audit firm or international company
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Very good knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of Fixed assets register

Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting is meritorious. Our business system is JD Edwards and we report to the Group of Aaro.

Interested?
