We are looking for a person with senior knowledge and experience in the area of environment that wants to lead the Material and Environmental Impact within Product Development at Volvo Buses.
The position
As a Feature leader for Materials & Environmental Impact you will support and lead the organization by adding your expertise and knowledge within environment. Your primary responsibilities will be to plan, develop and execute the environmental strategy aligned with the product development business strategy, in order to ensure long term growth, profitability and competitiveness.
You will be working close to market and customers, and at the same time taking part in product development projects with setting the project requirements for the organization. In this position, you will be the forefront and spokesperson for Materials & Environment within product development at VBC and taking the global responsibility for all PD sites.
The Vehicle Feature team is part of the Feature Verification and Validation department within Global Bus Technology. Our responsibility is to act as the customers and define requirements to the organization, to support, verify and validate complete vehicles, with the common aim to ensure happy customers.

Who are you?
To be successful in this position we think that you have interest in details and at the same time a holistic and strategic view and a willingness to drive change. You have good communication skills, enjoy networking and are skilled and flexible in prioritizing the activities needed. Good English skills both verbally and in writing.
You have a bachelor- or master degree from a relevant field of studies. Preferably at least 15 years of related experience with deep understanding for the automotive industry, chemical substances, environmental legal demands, materials, life cycle assessments, product development and the processes to use.
