The section Product Documentation consists of total approximately 75 persons within four different groups. We have the responsibility of all releases of models, drawings, parts and product numbers within Volvo Car Group. The department is working closely with both engineering and car projects within the company.
As Fastener Engineer within the group Product Specification and Technical Standards you will work in a team that is responsible for all engineering standards within Volvo Cars. You will provide the product development organisation with guidelines, support and technical documentation for standard fasteners and their applications in different joints. The position will implicate a large span of cross functional contacts both within the company and externally. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and a high level of service. You have the courage to express and represent your views in your area of competence.
Main responsibilities
• Be a driving force in the development of a range of parts for fastener applications in different product projects
• Be responsible for the technical documentation of the assortment
• Review and follow up technical-, cost- and quality assurance models in order to reach the goals within the application area
• Stay updated regarding new development and standards in the fastener application area
• Give advice and training within fastener engineering
Required qualifications
• Technical university degree or equivalent experience
• Experienced in the field of fastener application
• Experience in Catia V5
• Strong in documentation
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Competence in Teamcenter is meritorious
