You will join the global Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Sciences (CPSS) organisation, working within a dynamic scientific environment to support drug discovery and development. CPSS characterise the non-clinical toxicology, off-target pharmacology, metabolism and pharmacokinetics of molecules. Working with disease area project teams we help to discover efficacious molecules with good safety profiles.
Main Responsibilities
We are seeking an Externalisation Specialist to join the Alliance and Project Management team. In this role you will work with external organizations to oversee and ensure effective delivery of quality data and services for drug projects. You will be involved in developing new partnerships and representing CPSS and AstraZeneca in regular business review meetings. This role offers a rare opportunity to work with both internal and external stakeholders and partners to deliver new medicines to patients.
This role is located either at the AstraZeneca Gothenburg site in Sweden or in Cambridge, UK.
Essential Requirements
* An undergraduate qualification in biology, pharmacology or a related subject
* An understanding of drug development
* Experience in working with external organizations and companies as either a customer or as a provider
* A proven track record towards customer and delivery focus
* Experience of building good working relationships with external organisations and internal stakeholders
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Previous experience of working in teams and in collaborative environments
Desirable Requirements
* Background/experience in toxicology or drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK)
* Experience of regulatory environments
* A strong publication record
* Experience of working with GLP and GXP
