hela Sverige The Communications, External Relations and In-kind Division at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for an External Relations & Communications Officer.
Description of directorate/division
The External Relations & Communications Officer will report to the Head of External Relations & EU Projects Group, who will act as the Project Director for this grant. The position is linked to the Horizon 2020 / INFRADEV-3 grant, which is dedicated to the individual implementation and operation of ESFRI projects.
Description of main responsibilities
The role of the External Relations & Communications Officer requires:
• Coordination of outreach activities done by the consortium patners
• Implementation of outreach and partner activities in the Nordic countries various relevant target groups such as academia, industry and innovation ecosystems
• Gathering and analysing of information about potential new ESS Partner Countries
• Identification of target groups and development of specific communication and stakeholder relations activities
• Organisation of events
• Development of information material
Qualifications
Proven professional experience (4-5 years) from a similar role in communications and / or external relations
• Academic degree in a subject relevant to the portfolio of tasks
• Experience in working with international, cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills
• Proven project management skills, including responsibilities for financial management and reporting
• Experience of working in an international environment is essential.
• Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage.

Duration & Location
The duration for this position is until August 31st 2018. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.
