Our mission
Diet Doctor was founded by Andreas Eenfeldt (M.D.) with the long-term goal of empowering people everywhere to dramatically improve their health. More than one billion people suffer from health issues related to type 2 diabetes and obesity, for which they're often personally blamed and rarely given the support they deserve. We aim to change that.
We're fully funded by our members, so we don't need to show any ads, sell any products, or take any industry money. This also means that we have zero external investors, and are instead owned by the 40+ people who work here - and we offer all employees the possibility to buy a stake in the company regularly.
What have we achieved so far?
• Profitability for years, self-funded, no VC investment, and lots of cash in the bank.
• The by far largest keto and low-carb site in the world.
• About 5 million monthly visits, 65k paying members and 40+ full-time co-workers.
What you'll do
• Handle all the CEO's administrative and day-to-day tasks to enable him to focus on the big picture.
• Quickly learn to anticipate the CEO's needs. Make his life easier by ensuring he has everything in place to bring his A-game, without being asked.
• Manage the CEO's time and make him more productive by monitoring and vetting his calendar and proactively providing support.
• Run interference and remove distractions for the CEO to allow him to focus on high-impact tasks. Be a gatekeeper and filter incoming requests at the office and ensure that people's requests are dealt with patiently and caringly.
• Monitor the CEO's email daily: reply on his behalf whenever possible and filter out distractions. Alert him promptly about important emails that need his attention.
• Be the meeting planner and travel agent for the CEO: schedule, organize, coordinate internal and external meetings. Book and arrange all his daily and long-distance travel.
• Be available to provide immediate support for any task.
• Keep track of critical details and deadlines.
• Be the ultimate PR person for the CEO. Politely and kindly greet the CEO's guests and make them feel at home.
• Manage correspondence and answer phone calls that shouldn't necessarily reach and distract the CEO.
• If time permits, support other people on the leadership team.
What's in it for you?
• Meaningful work: The opportunity to be our CEO's business partner to help lead a company that could dramatically improve the health of a billion people.
• Meaningful relationships: Be part of a massively driven, ambitious, and exceptionally kind culture filled with people who want to do good in the world. We try to optimize happiness by keeping track of employee satisfaction (Officevibe), minimizing meetings and encouraging diversity in skills, interests, religious and political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, etc.
• Rapid growth: You will work closely with Diet Doctor's founder and CEO with a great opportunity to eventually become the chief of administrative staff. We'll give you lots of responsibility but also the support you need to do great things and learn fast. We will urge you to keep growing and the company will happily pay for courses or conferences you want to attend.
• Great compensation: Market-level salary, overtime pay, office bonus, and owning a meaningful part of the company through our employee stock offering (you've not heard of a better stock program).
Who you are
• At least two years of experience successfully working as an assistant to a high-level executive (VP, CEO or chairman) preferably in a high-growth startup.
• Personality: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and structured. Kind, enjoys pressure, good communicator, get it done attitude.
• Enjoy sticking to a schedule and doing routine, but important, work.
• Able to handle numerous projects simultaneously despite interruption and distraction.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and unstructured environment.
• Have high standards.
• Love to work independently and to get things done fast with consistent high quality.
• Fast learner who loves to grow. Dedicated to the job, wanting to do the job right, committed to learning and developing the necessary skills.
• An attitude of "anything it takes" to get the job done.
• Belief in the importance of our values: trustworthiness, simplicity, inspiration, and goodness.
• Excellent written and spoken English, and preferably Swedish.
