Linnaeus University aims to strengthen its internationally prominent research. To support this development we intend to increase our European funding, especially from Horizon 2020. The European Grants Adviser will reinforce our Grants and Innovation Office, part of the Office of External Relations.

Placement city: Kalmar or Växjö

Scope of appointment: Full-time

Job description

As European Grants Adviser you will work independently and proactively to identify funding schemes and opportunities, match these with academics at Linnaeus University and support them in applying for research grants. You will be part of the process from research idea, networking and scouting for funding opportunities through the application and negotiation phases.

Your tasks will include: * Analysing, summarising and informing about upcoming calls * External and internal networking in order to detect upcoming projects and project consortia of interest to Linnaeus University * Grant application preparation and submission * Support in writing grant applications

Requirements

Applicants should have a proven track record of European Research Grants; either in an advisory role or as a researcher. It is essential to have a good understanding of EU funding programmes, in particular Horizon 2020.

A relevant academic degree is necessary; a PhD degree could be an asset.

You must also have good interpersonal skills, be able to work both individually and in a team, and have good communication skills in English (spoken and written).

Other assessment criteria A large and active international network of relevant stakeholders such as research funding agencies, research organisations, public organisations, private companies, etc. would be an important asset.

Knowledge of Swedish and other European languages will be an asset, but is not required.

This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible. The position is initially temporary (2 years), but may be prolonged and made permanent if results are satisfying. Salary levels at Linnaeus University are individual and depend on skills and achievements; therefore, you should specify your salary requirements in your application.
