Are you passionate about the transition, the energy sector and EU policy developments? Do you have a curious, analytical and strategic mind? Are you structured and thrive when working together? Do you enjoy writing and creating engaging content?
If so, you might be the perfect fit for our EU policy advisor role at Vattenfall.
What will you do as our EU policy advisor?
Together with your colleagues, you will work to ensure an EU policy framework that enables Vattenfall to transition to fossil freedom, through:
Initiating, coordinating and driving impact assessments and positioning of the company, with regards to energy and climate topics in the broadest sense and relating EU policy changes, closely aligning with the rest of the EU affairs team.
Writing and editing impact assessments, policy papers, presentations, speaking points, briefings, newsletters, blog posts and other internal and external material on EU energy and climate topics.
Engaging with EU institutions, associations and other stakeholders to represent Vattenfall's positions, views and interests.

Ideally you will work at our Brussels office, although working from our Vattenfall office in Stockholm, Berlin or Amsterdam can be an option.

Qualifications

You have a keen and demonstrable interest in EU energy and climate policy and the way they can/should facilitate the energy transition. You are a strategic thinker, with strong analytical skills and can balance between diving into a topic and seeing how it fits in the bigger picture.
Strong and proven skills in visualising our work and ideas is a benefit.
Next to this you:
get energy from working together with others, actively seeking to find strengths in others where you may lack something.
are an expert in giving and asking for feedback to ensure continuous growth.
are a language wizard, finding the right tone to explain sensitive issues, understanding the views of others.
have a master's degree or equivalent.
have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and at least one other EU language, with a preference for Swedish, German, Dutch or Danish.
