This role provides you the opportunity to embark on the IKEA journey as an Engineering Manager in Technology Services, more specifically in the area of Identity & Access Management. The focus in this role will be working with engineering to secure that IKEA have a strong digital identity foundation in place for the future.

To succeed in this role, you have a solid IAM engineering background since you will build and improve products and team within your responsible area. You are experienced in lean/agile development and continuous improvement; encouraging simplicity, efficiency, ownership and accountability. We also see that you have a minimum of 2 years' experience as an engineering manager with the ability to lead, coach, motivate and develop teams and team members. You are curious and actively seeking to acquire new knowledge and skills and champion new methods, digital systems and processes to improve performance. You change direction as appropriate based on new ideas, approaches, and strategies. Within IKEA we work cross functional and you collaborate with others in the engineering network in achieving our common goals.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• Extensive knowledge of Identity & Access Management practices and principles such as segregation of duties, least privilege, zero trust and identity as the new perimeter, RBAC, ABAC and with knowledge and experience of using industry standard toolsets and protocols
• Knowledge of how to lead and motivate in a Digital Enterprise with both people and technology focus
• Knowledge of software engineering practices such as DevOps, Restful API's, Test Driven Development and code versioning
• Knowledge of design and architecture concepts e.g. microservices, event and just-in-time based identity provisioning
• Good knowledge in agile development practices and/or IT service management including agile practices
• Broad knowledge of the IAM service area 's Products and Services such as IGA platforms, Identity Providers, Directory Services, as well as cloud platform provided IAM services
• Understanding of the needs of the Service Management and Operations phase, including Level 2/3 support, incident and problem management
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be accountable for the technical delivery within our digital organisation. This includes technical services and platforms in one of the following Identity & Access Management areas:
• Identity Governance
• Access Assurance
• Identity Services
You will provide technical domain knowledge, architectural leadership and coach the teams in 'best in class' standards for system/software engineering and operations. You will support and enable the teams drive a cloud first agenda providing a modern digital identity environment to our end users, automate processes such as application on-boarding and access management and work closely with stakeholders in other areas to improve data governance and policy frameworks of digital identity related information.
You will be the line manager for a team of system and software engineers with responsibility for the people processes such as recruitment, performance, competence, career development and health/welfare of co-workers.
• Responsible for one or multiple Products or Services in terms of the efficiency, quality, and effective implementation and service operations of the technical deliverables that support the overarching IAM roadmap
• Responsible for giving input to the Service roadmap to achieve the Technology Services strategy
• Manage stakeholders and work closely with the assigned Product Owners or Service Managers and all groups within the Digital Technology organisation in order to deliver the assigned digital products and services
• Proactively enable the transformation of the Product(s)/Service(s) and build a service delivery based on a high degree of automation and self-service, to serve consumer based on requirements
• Lead and organise a team of engineers following lean and DevOps principles to implement, evolve, support and own the service or product components to Group Digital quality standards
• Lead, inspire, motivate a multi-discipline product or service team in order to secure a high performing team
• Responsible for recruitment, performance, competence and career development of individuals in the team to achieve the service delivery
• Help build a digital mindset and an engineering culture that is accountability and results orientated to make team work independently
• Encourage the team to continuously improve processes to foster the IKEA entrepreneurship
• Manage all agreements, technical resources and capacity plans within budget and time frame to ensure service assets and cost are correct
• Ensure that the area is following legal and union requirements and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
The Identity & Access Management area covers the technology platforms and products that provides and secures the Enterprise Digital Identity at IKEA including co-workers, partners and system entities. In terms of technology, it stretches from front-end experience of identification mechanisms, self-service co-worker onboarding and access request management to a strong foundation of identity governance in terms of access certifications and digital identity life cycle management.
