Engine diagnostics calibration engineer with passion for cars!
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS CALIBRATION ENGINEER you will be a part of Diagnostic and Dependability section organised within the Complete Powertrain department. Complete Powertrain's responsibility is development of powertrain control electronics, software and strategies. Our section's main responsibility is on board monitoring and safety. Our daily work focus is concept/function design, function calibration and verification in order to fulfil worldwide government legal requirements. Since we are involved in the complete product phase with advanced engineering, industrialisation and project management deliveries, the possibility of getting a broad or deep personal development only depends on your specific competence and a personal goals. Job profile:
• Carry out calibration, verification and methods of monitoring function for implementation in engine control systems
• Work in simulation environments as well as in complete vehicle
• Be responsible for a technical area within engine systems or components
• Participate in different projects
Your profile:
• MSc in Applied Physics, Electro Engineering or Automotive Engineering
• Organised and structured in following up the work
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
• Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink
• Good team member as well as able to work independently
• Able to travel
• Keen interest in cars and engines
