We are now looking for a new video engineer to join our Core Technology Media team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a part of our video team you will play a very important role using all your engineering abilities, working with state-of-the-art hardware and tools, to create and form our world leading technology regarding video aspects of our network camera products.
Video aspects in network cameras include smart handling of video encoding, introducing new video encoding standards, innovating and developing new features, HW driver development and most of all, close collaboration with other subsystems and external video management systems.
You will;
Be a key player in the development process of our video technology platform.
Investigate and implement video use cases and acceleration in hardware.
Develop new functionality to enhance our technology portfolio as well as looking ahead and setting specifications for coming platforms and products.
You will be working closely with end user aspects of network video by interacting with end users, system integrators and Axis departments to ensure best use-case adaption and effective development. There are possibilities for traveling but this is not a requirement.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that you are an experienced software developer with great engineering skills and an open and curious mindset. You embrace teamwork and have experience with or are willing to welcome the different agile working methodologies used in our projects.
• You have experience in embedded SW development, and knowledge within video handling and video encoding is a plus.
• You have a strong technology interest and an excellent attention to detail. You take pride in delivering quality on time.
• You are an energetic person with the ability to work unsupervised, and interaction with new people comes naturally for you.
• You preferably have a Master's degree in computer science, physics, automatic control, electrical engineering or similar and are a dedicated individual with a strong personal drive and skill to learn.
• Your English is fluent, both written and verbal.
