What Do We Do?
In the EEVC Electrical Engineering section, we are responsible for the complete electrical harness, HMI components, sensors, and power distribution solutions for our trucks. Our team oversees the entire process, from concept development to serial production, ensuring the quality and reliability of our components. We are currently seeking a curious and driven Electrical Hardware Component Owner to join our Electrical Components Team, focusing on the HMI area.

What Will You Do?
In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative hardware for Volvo Group trucks. You will have the operational responsibility in the relationship with the supplier, put requirements on the components and managing the work distribution. Furthermore you will be part of recommending the supplier, evaluating components, and securing the cross-functional and business anchoring with external as well as internal stakeholders. Along with our buyers you will be the point of contact for our suppliers regarding specifications and functionality. You are driving your component all through the development process.

You will engage in frequent communication with external suppliers regarding specifications and functionality, as well as collaborate with internal stakeholders. Depending on the project portfolio and phases, your focus may vary, but your main responsibilities will include:
• Initiating and developing design concepts to meet project objectives.
• Defining technical requirements and collaborating with suppliers on hardware development.
• Create, modify, and release product documentation.
• Address quality issues in projects, factories, or the aftermarket.

Who Are You?
We are looking for an open-minded individual with a positive attitude who thrives in teamwork but can also appreciate to work independently and take ownership of their deliverables. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment are essential, furthermore you should be action-oriented and self-driven. Experience with agile methodologies is a merit.

Qualifications:
• A relevant university degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in Product Development, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic components.
• Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, KOLA, and SE-Tool.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of LIN communication and a Truck Driver License C is a merit.
