The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Car Group. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities. The group Electric Drives SW development within Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for all software development within the electric drives sub-system such as software for inverters and electric machine control applications. We are now looking for a Software Responsible Engineer to join our team.
As Software Responsible Engineer you will be responsible for the complete SW development for the inverter control module in new and ongoing vehicle programs. In this position you will have the possibility to grow and develop within an area that offer a very exciting future and you will have long term development opportunities in a continuously growing field, where you have a direct influence on customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities
• Lead the SW development in vehicle programs, inhouse at Volvo Car Group and towards suppliers
• Lead the design of model based software components
• Requirement engineering and SW structural design based on sub-system requirements to deliver SW Requirement Specifications (SWRS) for El Drives
• Utilize Elektra and Autosar structured workflow and tool chains
• Support the system designers with sub-system structure definitions and requirements
• Report status and progress to component project manager and to group manager
Required qualifications
• University degree within controls and SW engineering or equivalent competence
• Relevant job experience relative to development of automotive SW and model based controls system
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Driver license B
