https://www.blaq.se/jobb/69033-director-of-credit-risk/)We're looking for an exceptional and driven Director of Credit Risk leader to head up our risk-credit team and play a key role in our lending proposition. As Director of Credit Risk, you will be based in Stockholm and lead a small and passionate team of six iZettlers, and help them develop the underwriting function.
Make sense of big data for small businesses
As part of your daily work, a big focus will mostly be risk related, but you will be expected to play a key part when setting the lending strategy for the company. This is a fast paced highly challenging position, that will see you work closely with leaders from product, sales, treasury, compliance, marketing, data science as well as other teams.
To succeed in this role we believe that you have been part of a successful credit team, focused on underwriting. You like to work with numbers, but more important you love developing your team and help them to grow and progress in their profession. You have led credit teams in challenging situations within the SME underwriting domain or corporate counterparty risk.

You will be driving your ideas and the business forward. Your days will be spent on coaching and leading the team, collaborate with stakeholders on driving our credit strategy, understand the risk drivers of the portfolio, adjust underwriting in order to drive the business into the right direction in terms of strategy and in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. You will also spend time on financial modelling and commercial strategy, such as new market entries, and expanding as well as changing the lending-product portfolio to meet the customer needs and seize market opportunities.
You will be expected to continuously challenge and drive change, implement credit frameworks and reporting.
The successful candidate will likely have the following skills and experience:
Educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline (mathematics, statistics, economics, business administration, legal
Proven experience as a leader
Strong Credit Risk experience within SME lending in northern/western EU, proven track record within portfolio and risk-credit strategy
Interest in new underwriting technologies such as modern machine learning methodologies
Passionate about data and how it can drive strategies
Excited to lead a team of young, ambitious and super smart colleagues
Exposure to fintech is ideal
