Main responsibilities
We offer an interesting job opportunity within Business Unit Brazed & Fusion Bonded Heat Exchangers for you who enjoy working with key customers in a global market. You will be based in Lund and report to the R&D Thermal and Plate Design Manager in Lund.
As Development Engineer - Technology Development, you will work with development of new solutions for brazed heat exchangers. You will work mainly in project form in early development phase, and you will have close cooperation with thermal and mechanical specialists, laboratory and workshop technicians. You will have international contacts with colleagues mainly in Sweden and Italy. Idea generation and selection, development and evaluation of new conceptual solutions and technologies towards early requirement specification will be typical activities.Key tasks:
• Participate in technology and concept development projects as part of a cross-functional project team where the conceptual design solutions will be your main responsibility area.
• Innovation, idea selection, design investigations, CAD modeling, material considerations, mechanical dimensioning/simulations, test specification, analysis, problem solving are typical tasks and will be part of your everyday activities.
Qualifications
You hold a master's degree within Mechanical Engineering or similar. You are a seasoned engineer with long experience within R&D and specifically technology development for new product solutions.
You have good knowledge of:
• 3D-CAD (we use Creo)
• CAE tools for mechanical simulations (we use ANSYS)
• Solid mechanics
• Metallic materials
You have broad experience within innovation and development of new technology and design concepts for products as well as methods for idea screening, prototyping and evaluation. As a person, you are creative and innovative with analytical skills and an interest in technology.
