Product Design/Develop Engineer to the Product Development team in Gothenburg
The present position is a combination of a Design Engineer and a Development Engineer.
Jobdescription
As Design Engineer you are responsible for the design and all specifications of the products within the scope of Nobel Biocares product portfolio, e.g. dental implants, abutments, bridges, copings and other applicable medical devices.
As Development Engineer you are responsible to develop and document the same products.
The role requires a close cross-functional collaboration with eg. Production. Purchasing, logistics, vendors, marketing and product management as well as global partners involved in product development, eg. inventors, customers, subcontractors, universities, test institutes.
The role also requires the ability and experience to understand the market and the product/projects place in it. This includes, naturally, the ability to understand the customers’ reality - i.e. the reality in the dental clinic or in the dental lab - and how the project/product will impact this reality.
The position will report to the Director Product Development in Sweden, and join a team of highly skilled and motivated engineers, project managers and other specialists required to develop and maintain world-class medical devices. The team is responsible for all development of dental implants, abutments and instruments required to perform implant surgery. We are also responsible for specifying all other products within the Nobel Biocare product portfolio.
Who are you?
In order to succeed in the role you probably fulfill most of the below criteria:
• University degree in engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
• At least 5 years experience in similar roles
• Proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling, preferably UniGraphics
• Construction for high precision NC operated cutting/grinding production in metal
• Languages: Swedish and English, written and oral
• Preferably other applicable experience such as:
o Medical Device experience
o SAP/R3 experience
o Mechanical testing
o Surface treatment / coating techniques
