ÅF at Trollhättan are now looking for a design engineer to our team within the areas Interior, Exterior and Body. As a design engineer, you will design and develop articles and systems for model year changes and new models in close collaboration with Product, Validation and Simulation engineers, as well as subcontractors.
You will work in CAD with both concept and detailed design and you will play an important role in the cross-functional engineering team's efforts to optimize the design and to meet all vehicle requirements. Through great commitment, strong interpersonal skills and a desire to share your knowledge and experience with other, you create the right conditions for collaboration, continued development within the team and to make the team achieve excellent performance.
You will join a strong team within body structures, closure, exterior and interior systems. The team today consists of 30 collogues with different ages, gender and ethnicities. As a consultant at ÅF, you get a variety of work. You can either work at one of our local customers, or be in our office and work in our exciting projects together with other ÅF colleagues.
Who are you?
We believe that you have good knowledge in Interior, Exterior and Body system development and you have good analytical ability and use logic and methods to solve problems effectively, with the customer's needs in focus. You are usually seen as innovative and like to take on new challenges.
Your academic background is a Bachelor or Master degree, but most important is your experience in Interior, Exterior and Body systems. We believe that you have worked for at least three years in the automotive industry. You may have previously been working at a global OEM or Tier 1, but is now looking for a new challenging career path.
Your business English is fluent both verbally and in writing and you communicate easily with both peers and upper management. Being professional is key and you always act upon the best interest of the company. You are within the business known for your strong integrity and you share ÅF's view on ethics and values.
