About the role
As a Data Scientist in the Business Analytics team, your main objective will be to manage and analyze various types of data to help colleagues and stakeholders throughout the organization improve their decision-making and better understand challenges and outcomes. The data you will be working on will vary and include product, usage, sales, and financial data. You will also in your day-to-day work communicate with, collaborate with, and support members of the entire leadership team at Netigate - from regional sales and marketing managers to product development managers and the executive team. You will be expected to deliver best-in-class analyses and to a large extent by yourself decide what to focus on to help Netigate maximize our understanding of what we are doing right, and where we need to grow.
Additionally, we will begin insourcing our financial database from a third-party consultancy. We do this in order to get more flexibility and control over the data and structure. You will lead this project from start to finish, and once completed be responsible for managing and maintaining the database.
About you
You are skilled in data analysis, visualization, and communication. We also believe you have a passion for data, tech, statistics, and/or mathematics. You are a fast learner with a collaborative disposition and the ability to extract insights to add real value to our business. You have experience working closely with cross-functional teams and sharing insights from data to drive business impact. You are self-motivated, flexible, driven to develop, and you have a desire to grow personally and learn on the go.
The Business Analytics team works with the entire organization to support where additional analytics competence is needed. However, being part of the Finance department, it is appreciated if you have an interest in, and/or a disposition to learn finance as well.
Requirements
• 3+ years of working experience in a similar Data Scientist role
• You have a degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline
• Experience in SQL for data analytics
• Experience of Power BI
• Experience with MS Office
• Fluent in English
In addition, previous experience of working in/with functions such as Business Control, Accounting, or Finance in general, is meritorious.

The Business Analytics team, together with the Legal and Accounting teams, forms the Netigate Finance department. The main objective of Business Analytics is to support and improve decision-making by leveraging analytics and paving the way for the company to become a more metrics-driven organization.
