We are looking for a Data Engineer with a passion for monitoring and data flow mapping. You are innately curious, passionate about building impact analyses and helping implement our service as a data driven Control Tower. The Control Tower Monitoring team is a supporting organisation and once it has been rolled out Globally will help teams understand what they can achieve with the right kind of monitoring tool and the data they produce. We also work closely with the Operation Centers within H&M so that they CTM team have the holistic view over the health of all key systems and platforms within H&M.
Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer you will be a great part of the team in creating our future solutions for the Control Tower Monitoring who's aim is to have a helicopter view upon how operation is working globally in all stores, offices, warehouses and data centers within H&M Group.
You will be working closely with the Service Owner for Control Tower Monitoring by helping identify, map and capture the data produced from the business flows within H&M. You will handle a complex cross functional service delivery from both inhouse and vendor perspective, giving you the overall view to achieve our service mission. You will work closely with the global problem, change and incident teams so that the CTM team can supply data and information to support these team's daily work. Furthermore, you will:
Manipulate and analyze large and complex data sets to distill insights from data; connect disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations using creative, effective, structured and analytical thinking
Orchestrate expert level data visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, measurable solutions for business partners to implement
Perform data interpretation, classification and enrichment and build data models
Work with the Analytics Engineer to design, develop and automate dashboards and analytics at scale
Understand Splunk knowledge objects (e.g. fields, extractions, tags, eventtypes, lookups, workflow actions, aliases, macros, etc.) and write regular expressions
Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the operational metrics
Who are you?
We believe you have a proven track record of data visualization and storytelling, to develop actionable insights and business impact through close interaction with the product owners and support teams. You have a great understanding of numerical, statistical, and analytical methods to apply to data processing and reporting methods ie dashboards. You are flexible, stress-resistant and can think creatively, with a focus on highest standards of accuracy and precision. We also believe, you have:
Experience of working with business intelligence/data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spunk Analytics & Service Now Analytics - Tableau, QlikView or Data Studio is an added advantage
Knowledge of how to customize Dashboards via the simple XML, advanced XML source, JavaScript, CSS, advanced HTML
Expert-level capabilities with regular expression and statistical functions
Experience with Splunk ITSI is an added advantage
Experience of data warehouse, data modeling, data mining
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of communicating complex information in an easy to understand format.
5 years of experience within data mining & data flow analysis
3 years of experience within operational supporting services
