In 2018, iZettle became part of the PayPal family. iZettle is on a mission to help small businesses succeed in a world of giants. Tens of millions of small businesses worldwide are still being underserved by the traditional players. By giving small businesses the tools to get paid, sell smarter, and grow, we're empowering them to reach their full potential. Together with PayPal, we can reach 24 million merchants across the world with more of the affordable tools they need to thrive.Job Description:
At PayPal, iZettle's Data Analytics is looking for a new manager to lead our fast growing team. Being a critical function in all commercial and product organisations, analytics has been fundamental for iZettle's impressive growth for the last 10 years (40% YoY rate). Today, as part of PayPal, we are growing even stronger than ever -- more data, more insights, more tech, more people and more fun.

At the heart of our new journey, we look for a manager who will lead us to deliver the most values from data and insights to our new global business; while maintaining a stimulating, and inclusive working place for our talented team to thrive.
Our members are 20+ individuals, from 5 continents, spanning 9 countries. We work in three sub-teams: Central Analytics, Product Analytics, and GTM (go-to-market) Analytics. We support all teams in the company to be data-driven, high-performance, and impactful. We love SQL, data snacks, and continuous learning. We currently live on Google Cloud. We are proud to be world-class insiders about in-store payment, and we know what it takes to help any person to start and run a business.

In this role, you will:

Manage a fast growing team of 20+ talented analysts and managers;
Create and own a data-talent strategy to attract, obtain, and develop our members. In particular, our team looks for mentorship on both technical expertise and personal development;
Drive our transparent, supportive, diverse, and inclusive team culture;
Set team goals, visions, and strategies to deliver organisational wide impact, while maintaining a fun, stimulating, and inclusive working place;
Collaborate with organizational leads to navigate data work through our integration within PayPal, and to create company wide data strategies;
Collaborate with key stakeholders to define analytics road maps for our major projects;
Bring the best data practices into both commercial and product development;
Being the go-to person for leaderships and key stakeholders on all thing related to data and analytics; and
Drive for best in class in analytics to become a flagship in the data community.

You'll be a great addition to the iZettle team if you...

Enjoy both technical leadership and people management. You can inspire and lead your colleagues on "how to work with insights and data", while having a genuine interest in helping people grow and develop in their roles
Have experience leading a larger data organisation and experience from managing managers as well as individual contributors,
Have a strong technical background with 4+ year of hands on experience working with analytics, data science or related fields, having a clear top-down view of data operations and are experienced in data engineering
Bring analytics domain knowledge, a strong vision and have a clear understand of how to take analytics in an organisation to next levels
Are Diversity-&-Inclusion minded, find it important and actively think about it.

Additionally, if you have any of the following we'll be even more impressed:

Have experienced different data development journeys in tech or financial industry
Have a track record of successfully coaching and developing people in both technical and managerial roles
Have a track record of scaling/improving teams with different team structures, and ways of working, such as: centralised/decentralised operation, or full-stack analysts vs specialised roles
Have an up-to-date understanding of the data tech landscape, or experience with something similar to our tech stack: GCP, large database systems, Looker, Amplitude, Tableau, Google Analytics, SQL, R, python etc
Have machine learning and/or data engineering experience
Have worked closely with user research, design, and marketing

We're all for equality for all.
Tattoo artists. Dog groomers. Cake bakers. Jewellery makers. You name them - at iZettle - we help them. And to do that well, we need our people to be as unique and diverse as they are. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and together we uphold PayPal's One Team Behaviour, striving to be a place where everyone can benefit from equal access to professional development, bring their whole self to work and most of all, feel like they belong.
